Morning, all, and happy new year.

It's cold here in the midwest, snow on the ground with high's in the 20's or so for today. As luck would have it, our house faces East and the morning sun so I have the front door open, letting in warm rays of sunshine through the glass. The sunshine goes through the glass, and hits the metal front door, warming it up quite nicely. I suppose it would be a good idea to stick a fan down there to blow against the metal and push the warmed air into the living room, but I'm lazy and will let convection take care of the task instead.

I need a goal for this year. I know that there's the normal New Years Resolutions thing, but that's more of a “stuff I'm not going to do anymore” thing than a “thing I want to do over the next year” sort of thing.

So, as a sort of build up, I think I'll take a little bit of time out and figure things out. Until then, here's hoping that my future postings will be just a little bit more interesting than this one :D
